A Quiet Assembly : ColAAb at Michel Amar’s exhibition

ColAAb is invited by Michel Amar to take part in the presentation of his new collection, Ishigumi, on view at his Paris gallery during Design Miami / Art Basel this October.

The exhibition brings together selected works by Sara Favriau and Morgane Tschiember (including both their ColAAb editions and personal pieces) in resonance with Amar’s material language.

Ishigumi, meaning “stone arrangement”, borrows from the quiet science of Japanese gardens. Here, it becomes a method of construction and reflection, a composition of balance, memory, and reuse. Amar works exclusively with salvaged materials: basalt, slate, onyx, charred wood, each fragment chosen for its texture, weight, and symbolic charge.

This temporary assembly explores a landscape in transition between design and sculpture, gesture and silence.
