Expo Angelika & Sara @ COALITION Gaité Lyrique
ColAAb Artists Shine in "COALITION: 15 Years of Art and Ecology" at Gaîté Lyrique
COAL, a leading association for art and ecology, celebrates 15 years of bringing attention to the dynamic interplay between art and the environment. The exhibition, at Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, showcases the work of nearly 50 artists, each offering unique perspectives on our relationship with nature, materials, and the myriad facets of life.
We are thrilled to share that two ColAAb artists are part of the exhibition:
Angelika Markul - 7306 Days with Freedom
Angelika presents a breathtaking and immersive installation that fills the space with an apocalyptic symphony, depicting the tragic collapse of a glacier in Southern Patagonia. Her work, surrounded by a hundred ghostly sculptures, evokes the decimated people of Tierra del Fuego.
Sara Favriau - This Is Not a Cabin
Sara's piece draws on ancestral manufacturing techniques, forming a cabin that serves as a hub for resilience-themed works by various artists. This cabin stands as a model of freedom and simplicity, challenging consumerist society and exploring non-conventional spaces for realistic and flourishing ecotopias.
Both Angelika and Sara's artistic activism and dedication to living ecosystems resonates deeply with ColAAb’s values. For ColAAb, they have envisioned functional art pieces that seamlessly integrate their artistic visions while adhering to the practical demands of creating functional art objects.
